Leo Club of Penang (City)'s Emblem
The Leo Club of Penang (City) which sponsored by Lions Club of Penang (Host) was formed and launched its 1st Installation Ceremony on 6th August 1977 at Merlim Hotel, Penang.
The 1st Board of Directors were installed by PCC Jeffrey Quah(45th OSEAL Forum Chairperson), who was the Lion President responsible to give birth to Leo Club of Penang (City). The founder President was Leo Lee Teik Hock.
The first non-institutioned Leo Club in Malaysia was formed with the aim of aiding less fortunate and providing youths an opportunity to contribute towards the betterment of the local community.
Its formation was the result of request from many Leos who have left schools but were too young to join Lions or Lioness Club. Leo Club of Penang (City) initial membership consisted of mainly ex-school Leos, but the majority of its members do not have any experience in Leo Program. They join the club in search of fellowship, to develop and improve individual qualities, to render service to those in need and to experience leadership.
